Web-based Online Courses (Self-Directed or Instructor-Led)

Delivered online through the ISM Knowledge Center, Web-based courses are available in a variety of topics and provide a cost-effective and efficient method for employee training. All that’s needed is a computer and access to the Internet.

  • Self-Directed Online Courses provide participants with complete flexibility to determine how often they access content and how quickly they complete each course. Courses run between seven and 14 hours in length and include pre- and post-testing. Each course must be completed within six months of the program start date. Knowledge Center courses are available in a variety of topics.

  • Instructor-Led Online Courses are facilitated by proven subject-matter experts and are delivered privately. Participation requires a minimum of 10 attendees and a maximum of 30. Duration is four weeks with defined start and end dates. Courses include online interaction with the course instructor and other participants. Although individual and team activities are included, courses are offered in an asynchronous format which allows access to the content anytime, day or night. Participants should plan to devote four to six hours per week to complete coursework. Visit the Knowledge Center for a list of course topics.

Blended Learning Programs

Blended learning combines the best of a variety of delivery methods. Each program is available to an audience of up to 35 participants. Our standard approach is to include face-to-face, Web-based self-paced, live conference calls and reading assignments in each program. However, you can elect to change the mix of delivery methods used. And, you can change and modify program length. An assessment is also included with each program.

Custom Corporate Training Portals

ISM can fully integrate its learning infrastructure and learning management system within your corporate Intranet environment. These portals provide a platform for communicating the program vision and mission, course information and other news. Using your branding, ISM can build a customized knowledge portal that enables employees to access courses within ISM's Knowledge Center and Web site. With cooperation and input from your Web team, ISM integrates a custom icon into your Intranet design allowing employees access to the courses through a direct link.

Certificate Programs

Certificate Programs are designed to help employees gain expertise in a specific content area. Each Program can include an Applied Project which is conducted outside the coursework. The Applied Project provides a hands-on opportunity to identify real-world challenges. Participants develop a plan, conduct analysis and make recommendations. Certificate programs are not available to the general public and are offered in a variety of topics that can be tailored specifically for your organization. ISM can work with you to develop a certificate program that meets the unique needs of your organization.

Executive Programs

Offered through The A.T. Kearney Center for Strategic Supply Leadership, this arm of ISM synthesizes thought-leadership into executive development. Driven by senior executives who lead some of the most influential companies from a cross-section of industries, the Center holds programs throughout the year specifically for Chief Purchasing Officers and direct reports. Program agendas are created to ensure relevancy while exploring and identifying "what's next" on the three-to-five year supply horizon. The goal is to work through challenges and identify opportunities for building a more competitive business.

Self-Study Workbook Courses

These paper-based courses cover a variety of supply management topics. From fundamentals, to project management, to law and C.P.M. review, they provide direction into further study and are excellent resource materials. Courses include practical exercises, resource articles and a post-test to evaluate progress.

Contact ISM today to address the areas that are most critical to achieving your corporate success.
