Regional Business Survey Report - Houston July 2007 - Doc

Houston's economy remained relative constant and has stayed within 6% of the peak we saw in March, 2007 as measured by the PMI (Purchasing Managers Index), which was 60.6 for July. This is very close to the same as this time last year. Purchases were up for 43% of the respondents for the month and 91% of the companies noted that Purchases were up or the same. This is the same as last month, but the ups fell while the same rose. There is an indication of slowing here.
