The Journal of Supply Chain Management — A Global Review of Purchasing and Supply publishes manuscripts focusing on aspects of supply chain management, as embodied in the following definition: the design and management of seamless, value-added processes across organizational boundaries to meet the real needs of the end customer. In addition, themes addressing concepts and theories from business-related disciplines, including accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, operations management and information systems, as they impact supply chain management thought and practice are welcomed. Manuscripts are also sought from the behavioral sciences that highlight the application of behavioral concepts in advancing the knowledge base of supply chain management. The Journal particularly encourages manuscripts with a global focus.

Manuscripts should generally be no more than 4,000 words in length and should be typed, double-spaced, using one-inch margins. To expedite the review process, manuscripts should be sent to ISM via e-mail as a Microsoft Word for Windows attachment. If you are unable to submit your manuscript by e-mail, then the manuscript may be submitted on 3-1/2" disks or on a CD-ROM in Microsoft Word. Other programs can be translated.

In either format, these three documents need to be included in your submission: 1) Cover letter; 2) Author page, which includes names and complete information on all authors, including brief biographical sketches, titles, degrees, addresses, daytime telephone numbers and e-mail addresses; 3) Manuscript, which begins with the manuscript title, followed by the abstract, key words, and then the topic. Omit author identity information in the manuscript document. Authors are encouraged to read the Authors' Guidelines for the Journal before submitting articles.

Journal manuscripts should be sent to:
