February 28, 2007 is the last day candidates can postmark their A.P.P. Original & Original Lifetime application.
If they postmark their application after February 28, 2007, they will never be able to become an A.P.P.
A.P.P. applications need to be complete when they are postmarked. Here is a link to the A.P.P. application: http://www.ism.ws/files/certification/APPOrigLife.pdf
Applications must include:
- Work experience documentation
- Exam score reports
- Payment
The requirements for the Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.):
1. Pass modules 1 and 2 of the C.P.M. examination
2. Two years of full-time professional work experience, or (b) have an associate's degree from an accredited institution and one year of full-time professional work experience. Purchasing and supply management experience can be a secondary component of the applicant's job.
Under Current ISM policy, candidates who wish to reaccredit may continue to do so -- even after February 28, 2007.

I've been a purchasing professional for 25 years. Although, I do not have my C.P.M. Certification.
I have started the process of studying for my certification.
Question 1:
I have been using the book, "The Purchasing and Supply Manager's Guide to the C.P.M. Exam". (by Fred Solish & John Semanik. Harbor Light Press.)
Is there anyone who has used this publication to study for the exam? And if so, can you tell me how useful (relevant/practical) it is?
And, what other materials should I use to supplement for the testing.
Question 2:
I was planing on taking the Module 1 & 2 tests together.
Is this a good idea, or should I take the modules one at a time?
What other advice can you offer me in my quest?

Does anyone have a book by Cavinato-Kauffman "The Purchasing Handbook"? ISBN 0-07-134526-4
On p.443 the authors discuss quantity price breaks. I cannot figure out how the calculated Percentage Price Reduction in Figure 19-2.
