WHO ATTENDS THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE:
- All industries are represented at the Conference, including manufacturing, non-manufacturing, public institutions and services.
- Attendees have worked in purchasing/supply for at least three years.
- More than 50 percent are managers or above.
- We expect more than 2,000 attendees.
TOPICS
The ISM Annual Conference provides content and educational opportunities for three primary constituencies (1) senior thought leaders, (2) mid- to high-level supply management professionals, and (3) others active in supply management practices. ISM seeks presentations from all sectors — manufacturing, service, institutional, public — and from the perspective of small as well as large organizations. While reviewing the topics keep in mind trends, headwinds, best practices, and challenges met. Our audience is looking for answers on "how" to address issues.
ISM is specifically looking for proposals in the focus areas listed for each topic. Please refer to the list of 2010 Call Topics for more information.

HOW TO SUBMIT A WORKSHOP PROPOSAL
- Complete and submit the Web-based proposal form. We accept only proposals submitted online.
- Each presenter may submit up to three proposals for consideration, either as an individual or as a co-presenter.
- Proposals are due midnight (EDT) July 31, 2009.
- As a not-for-profit institute, ISM does not provide honoraria for workshop presenters at our Annual International Supply Management Conference. Presenters are responsible for their own travel, hotel and other expenses. You will receive one complimentary full-Conference registration if you submit a paper for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings. (One registration per proposal and per person. Papers must follow submission guidelines.)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Format:
Workshops are 60 minutes long including time for questions from the audience. At the discretion of ISM, sessions may be extended to two hours and/or may be repeated. ISM welcomes presentations that are lecture, interactive or panel-based.
Diversity:
In principle and in practice, ISM values and seeks a diverse membership. Individual viewpoints and contributions are pursued and respected. There are no barriers to full participation in ISM on the basis of ethnic background, gender, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin or disability.
Selection Process:
ISM's Conference Leadership Committee reviews the proposals using a standardized rating system. The proposals are judged on a variety of criteria including content, benefit to the audience and speaking experience.
Notification:
All prospective speakers and co-presenters are notified of selection status in Fall 2009.
