Abstract

Many organizations struggle to meet increasing needs with limited resources. This presentation covers methods utilized by the school district purchasing department in Las Vegas to "do more with less." Methods utilized include backup and secondary strategies, efficiency studies, and the examination of existing processes to re-define the role of purchasing and increase it contribution and value to the organization.
