Many companies have studied and implemented the concept of consolidating numerous vendors/providers of similar products or services into one, or at most, two. However, many of them backed off before long because of the uncertainty of the risks involved. Many others failed to achieve ‘real success’. This article is therefore to address why the strategy of consolidating vendors/providers is necessary and how to execute it successfully.
