Abstract

A conceptual overview of project management with a focus on understanding the project management environment, the advantages of using a project management methodology, the characteristics of a project, and the role of the project manager and project teams. An introduction to the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) areas will also be discussed.
