Abstract

This workshop asserts the importance of preparing for supplier price increase requests by developing a formal price increase protocol, taking into account the key drivers in a manufacturer's BOM (bill of materials) for strategic categories. It will provide supply managers in Manufacturing companies with a sample tool ("Price Change Worksheet"), as well as strategies and tactics which can be used to effectively combat price increases.
