Applying Global Concepts to the International Marketplace

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) can make or break an organization. Developing and then actually implementing a program can be overwhelming. This can be magnified when you have international suppliers. Just trying to coordinate a face-to-face meeting to discuss each others goals and business challenges can be hard to accomplish when you are half way across the globe. Then throw in language and cultural differences and it can all seem not worth the effort. But as many companies have found, if you take the time to lay the foundation to employ a global supply management initiative and continue to nurture the program by collaborating with your suppliers, profitable rewards will follow.

If you and your company are looking to develop or expand your global relationship management program, ISM has a seminar where you can learn everything from freight to currency management, cultural to political differences and the latest legal regulations. Take this once a year seminar, Applying Global Concepts to the International Marketplace in Chicago, Illinois on August 23-24, 2007.
