Default What does MRO mean?

Hello, I am curious about the meaning of MRO in common sense, corporate aspect. We know that MRO stands for Maintenance, Repair & Operation but my point is that MRO can be considered as a part of purchasing division and also as a office supplies...

I would like to know your points of view.

In a manufacturing facility, MRO portion would be a big volume in amount.
In a sales office/corporate, MRO would be office supplies at max....

Would you let me what do you think?

Thanks.

Default Mro

Maintenance, Repair, and Operating supplies. Typically for the manufacturing shop.
Office supplies are listed under "indirect" spend category. Items for facilities like building services, snow plowing, landscaping, are also under indirect category.

Thanks,
