Craig Johnson, C.P.M., A.P.P., serves as chief executive officer of Harry & David Holdings, Inc. Harry & David, headquartered in Medford, Oregon, is multichannel specialty retailer and producer of branded premium gift-quality fruit, gourmet food products and gifts. Prior to this role, Johnson served as chief operating officer of Gibson Guitar Corp. where he was responsible for the company's worldwide manufacturing operations. Johnson spent 12 years at Musician's Friend, a subsidiary of Guitar Center, where he rose from vice president to chief executive officer. He was then appointed chief supply chain officer of the parent company, Guitar Center. Earlier in his career, Johnson held key marketing, merchandising and supply management positions at Oriental Trading Company; Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc.; Coldwater Creek Inc.; the Austad Company; and Music Sound Exchange, a Time Warner Company.

Johnson has been an active member of the Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) since 1985. He received his lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) accreditation in 1997 and received his Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) accreditation in 1996. He has held several leadership positions for the organization, including chair of the Conference Leadership Committee from 2006 to 2009, district director, and board member of the National Association of Purchasing Management from 1992 to 1993. Johnson has also served on various committees including the Permanent Conference Committee, Governance Study Committee, Certification Committee, International Committee and the editorial review board of the International Journal of Purchasing and Materials Management (now the Journal of Supply Chain Management).

Johnson attended Iowa State University, where he majored in computer science. He currently resides in Medford, Oregon, where he is active on several local boards and committees.
