Janice L. Davis is the former vice president and chief procurement officer at Bombardier Aerospace, where she was accountable for a global team responsible for the strategic procurement of all aerospace products and services. Since joining Bombardier in 2005, her focus was on improving supplier performance, reducing waste, establishing common processes across the company and enhancing employee engagement and retention.
Davis began her career as a production supervisor at General Motors, moving to Ford Motor Company in 1990. At Ford, Davis started in purchasing, buying various production commodities, and was later promoted to manager of supplier quality. By 1999, she was director of purchasing process leadership before serving as purchasing director for Lincoln Mercury. She also held the position of Ford's global purchasing director for electrical and electronic components and was certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt champion.
Davis graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in business and supply chain management. She earned an MBA in finance from Wayne State University in 1991.
