(Tempe, AZ) - The National Association of Purchasing Management presented to NAPM - Pittsburgh, the highest distinction of Affiliate of the Year at the NAPM 86th Annual International Purchasing Conference and Educational Exhibit in Orlando, Florida.
The Affiliate of the Year Award was established to recognize the affiliate that has best demonstrated an awareness and distinction on their professional operations, educational offerings, ability to recruit, train, and retain members, while at the same time communicating the value and prestige of the National Association of Purchasing Management.
NAPM-Pittsburgh is the first winner of this prestigious award based upon its accomplishments in the areas of affiliate operations, education, marketing, communication and membership activities. "I am proud to accept the prestigious 2000 Affiliate Excellence Award on behalf of both present and past NAPM - Pittsburgh officers, board members, and members," states Kathi M. Jobkar, C.P.M., President, NAPM - Pittsburgh. "NAPM - Pittsburgh has demonstrated outstanding performance this year in the areas of affiliate operations, education, marketing, communication, and membership activities."
Jobkar continues, "as NAPM-Pittsburgh celebrates it's 86th year of operation, the officers and board of directors are committed to further enhancing the educational opportunities provided to its members and to continuing to strategically position the organization as the resource for all purchasing and supply management professionals."
