Organizations have become increasingly aware of the need to understand supplier costs. The following identifies two issues that affect the ability of a company to collect and utilize supplier cost information. In addition, a framework and methodology is presented as a guide to understanding supplier costs which has proven to be successful during the past twenty-five years.
