Supply managers are continually seeking to achieve supplier diversity within their supply base. Increasing diversity in the general population and customer base dictate a more aggressive effort on the supply side. Hispanic-owned businesses are experiencing exceptional growth while Veteran-Owned Businesses are being provided increased contract opportunities through new government legislation. Increased awareness by supply managers of these and other growing small business sectors will enhance their diversity programs. The methods and tools to develop these potential suppliers will be discussed.
