    NAPM is offering a special holiday gift for members to give their bosses - three months of Purchasing Today® magazine beginning in January 2000. This gift not only brings the latest in purchasing knowledge and expertise directly to your boss's desk, but also emphasizes the importance of purchasing to the bottomline and the importance of NAPM membership to the purchasing professional. These three issues of Purchasing Today® are January through March 2000. Orders must be received by December 1, 1999. An "E-card" request form has been added to the Member Gateway section of NAPM's Web site. Simply complete the request form and return it to NAPM electronically. An "E-card" will be sent to your boss letting him or her know he or she will be receiving three issues of Purchasing Today® as a gift from you or your coworkers.

    As you may recall, NAPM's Board of Directors approved two new membership options last year, one of which is the Regular Membership - Volume Discount Program (VDP.) This new membership option was implemented on January 1, 1999, and has generated considerable interest from a variety of organizations.

    Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time. As a result, while most of the United States will set their clocks back one hour on the last Sunday of October, NAPM headquarters will remain on Mountain Standard Time, as it does year-round. NAPM office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., MST. Those of you in the Midwestern and Eastern United States will be one to two hours ahead of Arizona, while those of you on the West Coast will be one hour behind.
