Institute for Supply Management™ has chosen the title Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) as the name of the organization's new qualification. The CPSM is slated to be the profession's most rigorous qualification, representing the highest degree of professional competencies.
ISM's Leadership Training Workshops are tailored specifically for affiliate leadership. The workshops offer invaluable networking opportunities as well as sessions addressing both the tactical and strategic training necessary to run a successful affiliate.
In the months leading up to March 2006, Supply Management Month planning resources have been updated and made available online for affiliate use. Individuals who want to keep their C.P.M. or A.P.P. designation current must recertify/reaccredit every five years. C.P.M.s must earn 84 Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) during their current certification period. A.P.P.s must earn 42 Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) during their current accreditation period.

Diversity is one of the seven principles of Social Responsibility in the ISM initiative that was launched in 2004.
