Supply managers are continually seeking to achieve supplier diversity within their supply base. Increasing diversity in the general population and customer base dictate a more aggressive effort on the supply side. Hispanic-owned businesses are experiencing exceptional growth while Veteran-Owned Businesses are being provided increased contract opportunities through new government legislation. Increased awareness by supply managers of these and other growing small business sectors will enhance their diversity programs.
