Abstract

Using ISM's Supply Management Audit for Social Responsibility as its foundation, the Social Responsibility Maturity Matrix provides a tool for assessing the current state of an organization’s social responsibility efforts, describing the ideal end state, or "Point of Arrival" and measuring progress toward that Point of Arrival. Given the pivotal importance of social responsibility initiatives, organizations need substantive metrics to assess progress. This paper provides one step in that direction.
