On September 15-16, several affiliate paid staff visited the national office in Tempe, Arizona. The meeting was the first of its kind to be held and was designed to provide affiliate paid staff the same type of information given to affiliate volunteers during the annual District Summer Workshops. "We share this information with volunteers on a regular basis, but this was the first time we've met with affiliate staff members," said Paul Novak, C.P.M., A.P.P., NAPM's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. One of the goals of the two-day meeting was to share with the affiliate staff members NAPM's direction for the future, including the 1998-2003 Strategic Plan.
