New Job Analysis to Update the C.P.M. Examination Members Only Content

In the interest of maintaining excellence in its certification program, NAPM is currently embarking on a multinational, comprehensive job analysis of the purchasing and supply management function. The purpose of this job analysis, which began in November 1997, is to provide a basis for updating and revising the Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) programs, to ensure their relevance and validity throughout the wide spectrum of the purchasing profession, and to obtain important, up-to-date information about the present state and future direction of the purchasing function in a variety of industries, and organization sizes and types.
