As part of our ongoing efforts to build a more powerful profession, NAPM has targeted four industry sectors for aggressive membership recruitment. These particular industry sectors, perhaps somewhat overlooked in past recruiting efforts, have been selected for their high growth potential. The four industries targeted in this effort are: business services, public administration, healthcare services, and retail.
Tom Peters, a best-selling author and business strategist, granted NAPM permission to duplicate and distribute videotaped copies of the presentation he gave at the 85th Annual International Purchasing Conference. The videotapes were mailed mid-July to all affiliate presidents and DNAs.
Have you ever tried to write a job description for one of your affiliate leadership positions? Been stumped as to which responsibilities should go with each leadership position? Well, NAPM has a great aid that will make this chore a snap! Now available on the NAPM Web site (www.ism.ws) in the Member Gateway area under the Affiliate Support link are the NAPM Suggested Responsibilities for Affiliate Leadership Positions.
