    Recently, I have seen correspondence suggesting that NAPM (soon to be ISM) is trying to "jettison" the affiliates. I understand why some people might feel this way in light of all of the changes we have made over the last three or so years and those still ahead of us.

  • C.P.M. and A.P.P. News Members Only Content

    NAPM’s Certification Department has concluded the investigation regarding the inappropriate behavior of the students involved in a C.P.M. review class (see the July 2001 Newsline, page 1). As a result, two students who actively disclosed specific content, questions, and answers will be required to retake all four modules of the C.P.M. Exam after a waiting period of one year in order to apply for their C.P.M. certification. The group of students who were recipients of the contents of the exam via e-mail has been sent a reprimand letter regarding this type of conduct and their participation by not stopping or reporting this behavior.

    Beginning July 1, 2001, the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) began sharing supply management content with members of NAPM. NAPM, in turn, offers CIPS members access to the Members Only section of NAPM’s Web site. CIPS is an international organization based in the United Kingdom serving the purchasing and supply profession.
