At its meeting on January 14, the ISM Board of Directors reviewed, discussed and agreed to explore the possibility of targeting Board member organizations in future recruitment drives, with the goal of increasing the membership of ISM.
ISM's Career Center links job seekers and employers — and it's gotten even better. The new Online Career Center rolled out earlier this year, making online searches for jobs and qualified candidates easier than before.
With the January 14, 2004, membership vote approving ISM's revised bylaws, all ISM affiliates are required to update their bylaws to comply with the bylaws of ISM and submit them to ISM for approval and retention. With each affiliate as its own incorporated organization, and as such developing its own bylaws and operating policies, updating your bylaws can be quick and easy with only two specific items required in your bylaws:

ISM holds its 89th Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit on April 25-28, 2004, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Register for the complete Conference or a 2-day post-Conference seminar, and take one, two, three or all four certification exam modules for half-price. Modules are offered on Sunday or Wednesday, April 25 or 28. Register early since space is limited.
Michigan State University is in the process of creating the Hoagland-Metzler Endowed Chair in Purchasing and Supply Management. To date, over $1.25 million has been raised toward a $2 million goal through the generosity of Richard Metzler (a person touched by Hoagland's generosity), ISM, CAPS Research, and many other individuals and companies.
