  To date, 55 percent of ISM's 169 affiliates have updated their bylaws to comply with a bylaw change approved by the ISM membership on January 14, 2004. Although each affiliate is its own incorporated organization and, as such, develops its own bylaws and operating policies, ISM requires affiliates to update their bylaws to reflect this change.
