This Month in Inside Supply Management®

Without a doubt, the most often cited concern of supply management professionals is cost reduction. While they're engaged in everything from new product development to e-commerce, a major, fundamental component of the job revolves around tracking, containing, analyzing and cutting costs. But as you well know, measuring and validating cost savings can sometimes be tricky. In the May issue of Inside Supply Management®, we look at the various ways firms measure costs, and more important, how they ensure that cost savings hit the bottomline. See "Measuring Up," May's cover story.

May also sees the continuation of our series of social responsibility articles. This month, we'll address safety. How have organizations implemented safety programs and what issues are at the forefront when dealing with safety issues?

Also in the May issue of Inside Supply Management®:

  • Designing contracts from the supplier's point of view
  • Some tips for staying on track and on time with your e-procurement initiative
  • How one construction, engineering and procurement firm is getting the most out of suppliers
  • And much more!
