What's in the February Issue of Inside Supply Management®

How did you get into the field of supply management? For many seasoned professionals, the route may have been through some other function, but increasingly, colleges and universities are producing supply-minded students who have chosen the field as a major, a concentration and a career. The cover story in the February issue of Inside Supply Management® looks at how schools are aligning curriculum to meet business needs and how business thinks the model is working. We even talk with some future up-and-comers. Speaking of education, you won't want to miss the latest information on ISM's 90th Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit. The February issue gives you a peak at the sessions and keynotes that will make San Antonio worth the trip.

Also in the February issue of Inside Supply Management®:

  • The tsunami that struck southeast Asia in December of last year shook the world. While the long-term effects on many global supply chains has yet to be determined, relief organizations and locals felt the impact immediately. We talk with the global procurement director of one organization to learn how they reacted when the wave came.
  • It may be early in 2005, but the date July 1, 2006 is looming for many. That's when the European Union will ban lead in electrical and electronic applications. Some are already preparing, and there may be many more who aren't, but should. Learn how the lead-free way will impact you.
  • Your questions about the Sarbanes-Oxley Act are answered by an expert.
  • Six Sigma for assessing the supply environment.
  • The latest on energy.
  • And much more!
