| Feature Article: Develop the Entrepreneurial Spirit |
 |
With the retirement of baby boomers, high commodity prices and nagging unemployment, the new normal is characterized by weak sales growth (at best), a tight cash position and elevated customer service expectations. Unleashing your entrepreneurial spirit is one of the only ways to thrive in this complex environment, as it can encourage creative thinking and boldness in strategy and action.
As most of us can attest, people are an organization's number-one asset, and an entrepreneurial spirit taps into the people-power within an organization. It is key to success. How do you define and implement an entrepreneurial spirit? Three primary leadership behaviors can help build an entrepreneurial environment: 1) focus on experimentation, 2) encourage "what if" thinking and 3) value influencers.

Price: No cost
Length: 60 minutes

Implementing new technology can be the means to deliver higher business value. However, a smooth technical implementation is not enough; it needs to be supported by widespread user adoption to ensure the success of the initiative.
This summer, Zycus conducted its 2011 Procurement Automation Adoption Survey. More than 600 procurement and supply chain professionals, representing a combined spending power of about $370 billion, participated in this survey. Their responses confirmed that technology adoption has a major impact on both stakeholder participation and compliance to spend management initiatives.
Join a panel of experts as they discuss the insights gained from this survey about the tactics and strategies used by best-in-class companies to deal with compliance issues arising out of procurement management solution implementations.
Attendees will learn:
- Five tactics used by top performers to ensure compliance
- To understand the importance of compliance, participation and technology adoption for transforming corporate culture
- To increase cross-functional participation in spend management activities
- To define role of technology adoption in areas apart from stakeholder participation and compliance to spend management initiatives.
Featured Speakers:
- Andrew Bartolini
Managing Partner & Chief Research Officer
Ardent Partners
- R. David Nelson
Chairman
Quality Analytics
- Anurag Dixit
