| Availability of Negotiations Satellite Seminar DVD Ends Today |

If your affiliate missed the April 23, 2008 satellite seminar, "Preparing to Negotiate On-Shore and Offshore," there is still time to order the DVD set. The cutoff date to place your order is today: May 20. These four-hour programs on DVD cost $99 for ISM members and include a PDF file of the corresponding Program Handbook.
Led by Tom Beaty, president and CEO of Atlanta-based Insight Sourcing Group, this satellite seminar featured supply management professionals with global negotiating experience discussing best practices for achieving negotiation success. The program was designed for supply management professionals at all skill levels who are interested in improving their negotiation tactics, including formulating a negotiations plan and understanding cultural factors.

| ISM Extends C.P.M. Exam Registration Deadline to September 30, 2009 |

Due to overwhelming demand, ISM has extended the Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) Exam registration deadline. Don't miss this opportunity to earn a globally recognized credential and boost your competitive edge in today's tough job market.
Since the C.P.M. Exam registration deadline on December 31, 2008, ISM has been inundated with requests from individuals for additional time to register for the C.P.M. Modules. C.P.M. Exam registrations will be accepted through September 30, 2009. All exams (including retakes) must be completed by December 31, 2009. No exceptions.

Today's ISM Term of the Day is: SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT LIFE-CYCLE.
Definition: A methodology used to develop, maintain and replace information systems. Typical phases in the SDLC are: analysis; design; development; integration and testing; and implementation and maintenance.
A different Term of the Day is posted on the ISM Home Page (www.ism.ws) each day — seven days a week. The Term of the Day is taken from the ISM Glossary of Key Supply Management Terms.
ISM members can access the online Members Only Glossary which includes terms from the private, public, and various industry sectors, and from a wide variety of sources. The Glossary can be browsed alphabetically, or searched by keyword.
