Deadline for Richter Award Submissions is in Two Days!

Richter Awards are given to supply management departments within organizations that demonstrate leadership and innovation in at least one of four categories: Process, Organization/Structure, People and Technology.

The Awards Program is designed to:

  • Identify and share leadership and innovation in supply management practice within supply management departments.
  • Provide recognition to supply management departments receiving awards.
  • Promote supply management as a strategic contributor to the organization.
  • Enhance the profession in senior management's eyes.
  • Demonstrate leadership and innovation practice through conferences, ISM publications, case studies and other media.
  • Recognize specific supply management department, not individual professionals.

Application Information

An application fee of $1,000 per organization is required for 2009 award applications. Organizations that submit multiple applications will only be charged this fee once, regardless of the number of applications they submit. The application fee will be used to publicize and promote the finalists and winners of the awards. Entry fees are not refundable.

Dates to Remember

  • Monday, July 1, 2008 — Application period opens
  • Friday, September 19, 2008 (5 p.m. EDT) — Entry deadline.
  • January 2009 — Winners are notified
  • Sunday, May 3, 2009 — Awards dinner at ISM Annual International Supply Management
  • May 3-6, 2009 — ISM Conference and Educational Exhibit in Charlotte, North Carolina. Winners will present workshops at the ISM Conference.

Concurrent sessions over the two-day period include:

Cost is $795 (USD) for ISM members and $995 (USD) for nonmembers. Networking time is built into the schedule, and attendees will also have the opportunity to take breaks to visit the Select Supplier Showcase. All sessions are at The Ritz-Carlton, 2401 E. Camelback Road, Phoenix. An ISM rate for accommodations at The Ritz-Carlton is offered until October 31, 2008. Team discounts and pre-conference seminar savings are available online.
