(Tempe, Ariz.) November 06, 2013 — Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) CEO Thomas W. Derry will be a speaker and act as a conference chair at the Consumer Goods Supply Chain Officer Summit 2013. Derry's session, "Forward Scan: Global Supply Chain Trends," is slated for November 20, 2013. The event takes place in Shanghai, China, from November 20-21, 2013.
"I'm thrilled to share valuable ISM research findings and insight into the future of global supply chain management at the Consumer Goods Supply Chain Officer Summit," says Derry. "This insightful data can help practitioners proactively assess their supply chain for any changes needed to meet future demands."
Derry's session will discuss the evolution of CEOs' perceptions of their procurement and supply chain departments and how the changing global environment has influenced current perceptions. He will also share which industries should view their supply chains as a competitive advantage and why governments will assert themselves into complex global supply chains. Additionally, Derry will examine future implications for the profession.
