Presenting ... Winners of the Institute for Supply Management™ — Michigan State University Awards for Excellence in Supply Management

Outstanding achievements in the supply management profession will be celebrated and showcased this month.

(Tempe, Ariz.) April 29, 2013 — Winners of the Institute for Supply Management™ — Michigan State University Awards for Excellence in Supply Management are officially announced this month in ISM's member publication, Inside Supply Management®. The following three winners are featured in a special section in the April 2013 issue:

Amedisys, Inc. | People category
The sourcing and procurement team at Amedisys used "gamification" to drive employee performance and retention with "SORP!", a sourcing and procurement game.

BorgWarner Inc. | Transformation of the Organization category
BorgWarner's award-winning entry features the development and implementation of a commodity tracking and forecasting tool to support the successful execution of a commodity risk mitigation strategy.

U.S. Postal Service | Transformation of the Organization category
The award-wining project increased the U.S. Postal Service's capacity to be more nimble and market-responsive to support the rapidly changing business environment. All contracting activities were centralized and broader material management functions were integrated to give supply management greater visibility to identify and manage risks in the supply chain.

Institute for Supply Management™ — Michigan State University Awards for Excellence in Supply Management winners will be recognized in Dallas/Ft. Worth at ISM's 98th Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit, to be held April 28-May 1, 2013. Representatives from the winning organizations detail their projects in sessions on Monday, April 29, and Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

The 9th Annual Institute for Supply Management™ — Michigan State University for Excellence in Supply Management call for entries opens on June 10, 2013. Multiple entries are welcome in one or more of the following categories: Process, People, Transformation of the Organization, Technology and Sustainability. For more information, visit www.ism.ws.
