In 2003, the Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) and the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) formed a partnership to offer an "ISM/AFIT Best Strategic Purchasing Thesis" program as part of the Strategic Purchasing Graduate Program of the AFIT Graduate School of Engineering and Management.
