Satellite Seminars

ISM satellite seminars offer the perfect opportunity to keep your supply management team up to date on timely, relevant topics that directly impact the profession. Since these broadcasts are downlinked through ISM affiliates or by individual companies across North America, you can attend a satellite seminar in your local area and incur little or no travel expense.

Each of these 4-hour programs is interactive. Although some portions of the satellite seminars are prerecorded, they include live question and answer segments where you can phone or e-mail your questions to the panelists.

What are the technical requirements to downlink ISM satellite seminars?
ISM satellite seminars are currently broadcast via Ku-band digital and C-band analog satellite transmissions. There is no charge for your affiliate to receive the live broadcast. Actual satellite coordinates will be e-mailed to registered downlink sites approximately 4 weeks prior to each live broadcast.

If you are unable to view the programs live in your area:

  1. Order the DVD set for each program and choose a viewing time that is convenient for your group. Fax the order form to ISM at 480/752-2299 to place your order. You can also phone your order to ISM Customer Service by calling 800/888-6276 or +1-480/752-6276, option 8.

    Orders for the set of two DVDs containing the entire four-hour program may be submitted prior to the broadcast date and for a window of three weeks following each broadcast. The DVDs are shipped approximately eight weeks following the live program. The DVD set includes a PDF copy of the program handbook, which includes the program slides, as well as articles and other resources relating to the topic.

  2. Affiliates may borrow DVDs of previous ISM satellite seminars from the Affiliate Video Loan Library.

How can I be a satellite seminar panelist?
In each Satellite Seminar, we try to present a broad perspective into the topic by including purchasing and supply management panelists representing various sectors and industries. Many of our panelists are chosen from individuals who submit their names by completing our online Speaker Interest Form.
