Lee Webster, JD-MBA, SPHR GPHR, has been SHRM's Director of HR standards since February 2008. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the development of organizational ANSI and ISO Human Resource standards. Lee currently serves as the Chair of ISO TC 260 for HR Management and the Chair of the ANSI Organizational Member Forum (OMF). Lee is also an Executive Committee member on the ANSI Board.

Over a 15-year period prior to joining SHRM, Lee held important HR positions at Exxon Mobil, PepsiAmericas, and other international Fortune 500 firms. For several years, Lee has also been an adjunct professor in human resources and business strategy for Trinity, American, and Regent Universities. Prior to his civilian career, Lee spent several years in the military as an infantry officer. An active SHRM volunteer leader for many years, Lee has served as an item writer for the HR Certification Institute. Lee holds a BS in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MS in Management Systems from the University of Central Texas, and a JD/MBA from Northwestern University.
