Susan K. Modeland, CPSM, C.P.M., CPIM is currently a Program Manager for Goodrich Enterprise Supply Chain. She leads the Goodrich effort to implement defined best practices at all SBUs and facilitate development of additional tools and processes. Prior to this new assignment in January 2009, she was Supply Chain Manager at Goodrich Engine Components (EC), West Des Moines, Iowa. Modeland has been involved as a manager in production and supply management in Iowa for more than 25 years. She strongly supports professional training in organizations and has completed these courses; Lean Practitioner Certification, PMBOK Project Management training. She made presentations at the ISM International Education Conferences in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 (for which she was nominated for Supply Chain Digest's "No Supply Chain Blah, Blah, Blah 2011" award), the February 2011 ISM Satellite Seminar on SCM Risk Management and the Chicago CSCMP 2012 Spring Seminar. She is on the board of directors for three non-profit organizations. Modeland holds undergraduate degrees from Waldorf College (92) and Buena Vista College (96).

Rene A. Yates, CPSM, MCIPS is a Senior Executive — Onsite Education for the ISM-ADR School for Supply Management. In this capacity he is responsible for working with organizations to identify and meet their educational objectives though onsite training, web-based learning, and blended learning solutions using ISM-ADR products and services. He works with companies to tailor and customize programming to meet an organization's unique development objectives. As required, he works with clients to deliver these products globally and in languages other than English.

Prior to joining ISM, Mr. Yates worked for over 25 years in the manufacturing sector as a Vice-President and Director of Materials. He also taught courses and seminars on a variety of supply management topics, as well as preparation classes for ISM's Certified Purchasing Manager examinations. He has lectured and taught seminars throughout the United States.

Prior to joining ISM as a staff person, Mr. Yates was active at all levels of ISM as a volunteer. He has served in local, regional and national offices, has been a member of ISM's board of directors, is a former national president, and the 1996 Shipman Medalist, the highest individual award offered in the supply management field. He is also Certified Professional in Supply Management, ISM's most recent credential. Mr. Yates is an item writer for the CPSM examination process, and a contributing author to former additions of both the ISM Purchasing Handbook and the Study Guides for the credentialing process. Mr. Yates holds a master's degree in business administration with honors from Bryant College.
