Facility Tour - Port of Baltimore (Maryland Port Administration)

Gain an inside perspective on air, sea and port transportation during a one-hour tour led by Brian Miller, general manager, terminal operations for the Maryland Port Administration (MPA).

What you will see:
- Dundalk Terminal, where roll on-roll off cargo is handled, along with forest products, cars, agricultural equipment and general cargo.
- Seagirt Terminal, the primary container handling facility.
What you will learn:
Learn how various facets of the Port of Baltimore impact supply chains. Learn the status of construction of the Port of Baltimore's 50-foot container berth, scheduled to be completed in August 2012.
Earn 1 Continuing Education Hour (CEH) for your participation.
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
1:00 p.m. - Check in/board transportation at Baltimore Convention Center.
1:20 p.m. - Depart Convention Center for Port of Baltimore/unload.
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Facility Tour (approximately 1 hour)
3:10 p.m. Board transportation at Port of Baltimore and return to Convention Center at 3:25 p.m.
Cost: US$25. Advance registration and payment is required. No substitutions, due to MPA security clearance requirements.
Deadline: April 1, 2012, or earlier once tour attendee maximum is reached.
Space is limited - Tour registration is available on a first-come, first served basis.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR ALL TOUR REGISTRANTS
Maryland Port Authority (MPA) requires all tour participants undergo a security clearance in advance of the tour date. This specific tour requires each individual registrant to furnish additional information during checkout and payment portion of the online transaction. The information is required for MPA security clearance. MPA will destroy all personal information immediately after the security check. Tour registrants will be asked to provide the following information:
- U.S. citizens: Name as it appears on driver's license, driver's license number and state of issue, and date of birth. OR U.S. Government ID (such as federal/military CAC).
- Non-U.S. citizens/foreign national guests: birth name, date of birth, passport number, country of origin, and company or government agency affiliation.
IMPORTANT: If you do not wish to provide any portion of the required security clearance information, please do not proceed with online registration. We recommend you select from the other educational workshops offered on Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2012.
