ISM and the supply management profession will benefit significantly as more and more academicians become involved in the ISM career-long program over time and we see dedicated researchers in the field generating increasingly sophisticated intellectual activities that lead to named professorships, involvement by business and greater overall recognition for the supply management profession and ISM.
