Becoming more common in this age of "do more with less" is that we need to run government more like a business.

While seemingly complex and difficult, purchasing of services is relatively simple provided the governing entity has a clear vision of what it needs and desires. However, obtaining the services is only the first half of the process. Proactive contract administration is absolutely necessary for the success of any contracted service, whether it is janitorial work or physician's examinations, a major building construction, or a yoga instructor at a senior citizen's center.
