Brent E. Edmisten is Vice President of Supply Chain Operations at Hawker Beechcraft Corporation. He is responsible for SIOP, master Scheduling, airframe & propulsion strategic sourcing, global sourcing, logistics, value stream management, and material management of all aircraft programs. Edmisten is a proven business process improvement and supply chain management leader with over 20 years of aerospace industry experience in program management, new product development, strategic sourcing, ISC strategic planning, M&A, SIOP, master scheduling, and supply chain management. He led the on-site assessment and final selection process in which Cessna Aircraft was awarded the 2003 Purchasing Medal of Excellence in Supply Chain Management.
Edmisten is a graduate of Friends University with an Executive MBA. He is also a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.). He is also currently a member of the Research Strategies Committee for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, a member of the University of Kansas SCM advisory committee, a member of an adolescent girl's home charity committee, Goodwill Industries BOD, and other various non-profit boards. Edmisten is a member of ISM, CSCMP, and APICS professional organizations.
Nancy Q. Smith is Director, Strategic Partnering, for Exemplary Performance (EP), a leading performance alignment and execution firm serving some of the world's most successful companies. EP's results are evidenced in increased margins, faster time to performance, reduced turnover, and increased close rate. EP's proprietary research-based Strategic Partnering service line provides transformation consulting and skill building to align business and performance strategies and support the achievement of business goals through effective internal partnerships. Recent Strategic Partnering clients include adidas, Alcoa, CVS Caremark, AREVA NP, Intuit and BP.
Prior to joining EP in 2007, Smith served as People Development Manager and Global Process Manager for Delphi Corporation. As a People Development Manager she built and managed the execution of development strategy for 2,700 employees across 38 countries. This included development of process support strategies, coaching structures and learning and development programs. As Global Business Process Manager, she was actively involved in reorganization, supplier support and crisis resolution. She improved business processes, led the roles, decision rights and metrics process and created the learning, development and coaching strategy to deepen internal client partnerships to align with strategic business goals. Prior to 2002, Smith held positions of increasing responsibility within the PACE organization.
Smith is a featured speaker for human resources, learning and supply management audiences. Together with Dave Nelson, she authored The CPO Perspective on Strategic Business Partnerships, a 2009 whitepaper featuring 15 top CPO's. Smith is a featured speaker and workshop leader for supply management and human resources audiences. Her conference appearances include international conferences for the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD), The Institute for Supply Management (ISM), and the A.T. Kearney Center for Strategic Supply Leadership (CSSL).
Smith has a Bachelors of Arts in Communication and Public Relations from Wayne State University and an M.A. in Organizational Communication and Management from the University of Texas at Austin.
