The purpose of the CPSM® Diagnostic Practice Exam is to provide you with an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the CPSM® Exams by providing you with a sample exam, correct answers and explanations for all questions on the sample exam, and references to additional sources of information. The detailed exam results you receive will permit you to analyze your performance and determine which topic areas are your strengths and which are your weaknesses.
After you have completed the diagnostic exam, you will be shown an Exam Score Report with your final scaled score and a "pass" or "fail" noted. The scaled score takes the raw score and converts it to a scaled score, which ranges from 100 to 600. A scaled score of 400 or higher is a passing score for the diagnostic exam, while a scaled score of 100 to 390 is a failing score.
Your Exam Score Report will also show the specific task areas with the total number of correct answers in each compared with the total number of items in that task area. By reviewing the detailed task areas in the CPSM® Exam Specifications, you can determine where you may need additional study.
Note: A passing score on this Diagnostic Practice Exam does not guarantee a passing score on the CPSM® Exams. The Diagnostic Practice Exam is a tool to familiarize you with the CPSM® test format and help identify areas of weakness for additional study prior to taking the actual CPSM® Exam.
