Question Terms and Conditions

Do you know of any companies that have stopped issuing terms and conditions with the purchase orders they send out? If so, what logical reason would there be for that to happen?

I have seen large companies referencing their standard T&C on their web page rather than attaching it to their PO. Guess they are comfortable that their published T&C is managed so that it is available at all times and there are minimum revisions, or, if there are revisions, it is announced clearly and promtly.

Default Acknowledgement

Large companies do not eliminate using T&Cs, that I have seen, until they have an Acknowledgement on file from the selling company (then no need to send them after that). This is done up front with those sellers they put on EDI or other supplier portal. Also good/big companies focus on contracts and on-contract spend. With a signed agreement there is no need for T&Cs (boilerplate) to go with the PO as the contract rules. Good companies have 70%++ of their spend under contract for risk reasons, cost mgt, etc etc
