I am looking for feedback on the ability to execute/sign contracts or agreements. If you are willing and able to share, can you tell me what signing authority your contract/sourcing/procurement team has within your company? Also, did your legal department encourage or stifle the process?

In my current organization only the VP of Supply Chain or Brand President can sign contracts. Legal prepares the final contract for review and signature.

We have defined only Director level and above, based on total contract value, as being able to sign agreements and contracts. So, the approval will come from the appropriate area's management and will then also go to the CFO and CEO based on level of spend. This was vetted with our legal counsel and they support.
