Default Average Man Hours to Complete a Bid Process

Hello All,

I apologize for coming to these boards with such a broad question, but I have a question in regards to the bidding process and the number of man hours invovled.

Currently I work in EPMS (Engineering Procurement Management Services) and am looking into the average number of hours to complete the bidding process for developing a contract. I realize that this may vary based on many variables such as contract size, locations, etc. but if any of you have experience/feedback on how many man hours it takes it'd be appreciated.

I've done a lot of research on the internet and was only able to find it takes approximately 400-500 hours. Below are links to what I have found so far: - Real life example of tendering/bid process - Similar to a textbook, describes the planning, preparing, and awarding of bid process. Good read. - Textbook style again, but describes the whole process - Procurement guidelines for tender preparation, evaluation and award of contract

Any and all feedback is appreciated and valued. Thank you.
