Supply Risk for Japanese Suppliers

I am looking for good sources to better evaluate our risk. We are in weekly communication with our suppliers and they continually give us a very positive outlook. To date, deliveries have not been effected either. On the other hand, the "headline" article I read about Toyota and other automakers regarding thier supply challenges for the new few months gives me a different picture.

I am trying to find some good sources that will help us better determine if, and how much, effort to put into risk mitigation.

The first thing you need to understand is the impact a loss of this supplier would cause to your organization by doing an business impact analysis. Once you determine the impact, there are risk transfer options available and/or you could look to replace/supplement the supplier.
