steel/metal surcharges

Does anyone have a good template and strategy to use for tracking steel surcharges. Our surcharge costs have skyrocketed and we need to track and develop strategies to lower them if possible.

What exactly do the surcharges consist of and what market area are you in? We have encountered some of the same issues but have found ways to combat these problems.
