Cost of Hedging Steel
 

I need to generate a steel escalation summary for deliveries of structural steel (for buildings) from mid-2013 through 2014. Has anyone read or calculated an estimated cost of hedging materials? In addition to the futures cost, there's the cost of tying up $$ for this period of time, etc.
Is there a publication or article you can recommend?
Ultimately, I need to provide a summary detailing the cost to hedge versus the forecasted increases over the same period of time.
