Forums - Recruiting Agency supplier's fees/ benchmarking

I work for a large global biotechnology firm ($3 Billion annual sales), and our HR group has engaged Procurement group to assist them in reviewing our Recruiting Agency supplier base.

I need to benchmark what other similar firms are paying for Agency Recruiting fees/percentages for candidates they present to our firm to interview/hire. So for an IT candidate the firm might charge 25% of the base salary as the fee for presenting the candidate to us.

I need to benchmark what other firms in similar industries are paying Recruiting Agencies. I need to understand what the fees or avg. fees are for the following functional area listed below.

• Clinical expertise
• Regulatory expertise
• General Administrative
• Software/IT
• Manufacturing/Light industrial
• Supply Chain/Operations
• Quality Control/QA

It would be helpful to understand a range if you can not share the exact percentage a functional area (i.e. Clinical candidate’s avg. range 22% - 25%).

Or if anyone knows of a professional association which may be able to supply this information for a fee, that would be appreciated too.
