Is there anyone who has had any success with utilizing any third party eProcurement solutions? I'd like to know the "good and the bad" of a variety of different systems (ex. http://www.k2sourcing.com/ , etc). I'd like to begin using the power of the internet to do better in creating, delivering, and evaluating RFP's. I'm sure there are probably a variety of sites that do this, but each has pro's and con's (I'm sure). I'd like to utilize a real life RFP to test out some sites' functionality, and determine if it makes sense for us to move towards one over another. I'd prefer to "try for free" and subscribe later (if performance is good). Anyone out there know of some other solutions that do eProcurement? (eRFP, eRFI, Reverse Auctions, etc). Thanks! Ken

Ken,
I would reach out to the folks at Ariba during the conference. I've had success with utilizing their technology in RFP/RFI response and conducting a Reverse Auction.

Best of Luck.

Ken,

We have had good success with Intesource. I know they will be at the conference as well.

Hi Ken,
Ariba has a good product, some other players in this space are iasta, Emptoris, Combinenet and Perfect Commerce. The correct solution for your company will depend on functionality requirements in relation to cost. My experience is whatever product you choose, you will be able to show a quick return on investment.

We have utilized SciQuest as our e-procurement system since 2007, and have had wonderful success. Our RFPs, however, are still done the old-fashioned way. It may be worthwhile to explore automated means for facilitating bid processes beyond simply distributing via email. I would be interested in others' findings as well.
